"Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible - the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family."
                    -Virginia Satir,
                                       Family Therapy Pioneer

My Areas of Expertise: As the quote I chose suggests, I view therapy as something flexible, ever-changing, and always serving the needs and interests of my clients. I am a strong believer of the "one size doesn't fit all" approach when it comes to my work in therapy, given that each individual, couple, or family has unique needs and different comfort levels. I conduct therapy using the Integrative Problem-Centered Metaframeworks approach, which encourages the therapist to shift between different kinds of therapy, depending on the client's needs and the goals of each session. I am comfortable working in whatever format the client prefers, which can include cognitive-behavioral therapy, experiential therapy,  structural therapy, object-relations, and others. I also have a background in theater, which I utilize to create a collaborative, relaxed atmosphere in the room.
I enjoy working with clients with a variety of concerns and presenting problems, but I have gained additional training in working with survivors of trauma, and their partners/families. I have experience with and and am available to work with couples, families (including extended and/or multi-generational families), adolescents, children, adults, and groups. Thanks for reading, and I hope to work with you soon!

"For one human being to love another, that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation."
                                              - Rainer Maria Rilke

My Areas of Expertise: According to the American Psychological Association, "Psychodynamic psychotherapy is effective for a wide range of mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, panic and stress-related physical ailments, and the benefits of the therapy grow after treatment has ended.  Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering. Its hallmarks are self-reflection and self-examination, and the use of the relationship between therapist and patient as a window into problematic relationship patterns in the patient's life. Its goal is not only to alleviate the most obvious symptoms but to help people lead healthier lives."1
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is one of my favorite ways to work with individuals, families, and couples. I enjoy really helping people getting to the root of their struggles at the deepest level and then helping them to change the way they live their lives. I also draw from a wide variety of theoretical orientations. One of the most important parts of therapy is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client(s). Therapy is a journey that ultimately helps the client begin to live and think anew, about themselves and others. To accompany individuals, couples, and families on that journey is one the greatest privileges that I know.
